St. Cloud, Minn.-based CentraCare plans to bring Stellis Health, a physician-owned medical group in Wright County, into the health system, according to a news release shared with Becker’s.
Stellis shareholders voted to move forward with the plans. The organizations are working to finalize agreements and complete regulatory review, with a goal of Stellis joining CentraCare on Jan. 1.
Stellis has more than 60 providers and locations in Buffalo and Monticello, Minn. Its physicians already provide care at CentraCare-Monticello Hospital.
“Bringing our organizations together builds on an already successful relationship and creates opportunities to better connect primary care, specialty care and hospital services,” CentraCare President and CEO Ken Holmen, MD, said in the release.
Stellis clinics will continue operating as usual for now, and patients can keep seeing their current providers.
CentraCare operates nine hospitals and more than 30 clinics across Minnesota.
