Daren Craven, CEO of Carolinas Hospital System, said finalizing the affiliation on Sept. 14 was a “historic day” for the community and the hospital.

The affiliation will grant Carolinas Hospital System access to facilities, equipment and, most importantly, physicians, from the Mayo Clinic.

Rami Zebian, MD, a physician at Carolinas Hospital System said access to Mayo tools will “bring great joy” to community members. “All [the physicians at Carolinas] care about is the benefit of our patients,” said Dr. Zebian.
