Under the joint venture, nonprofit 117-bed Saline Memorial will preserve its tax-exempt status, and the organizations will create a new for-profit entity.

Saline Memorial CEO Bob Trautman told Arkansas Business the partnership will give the hospital access to more resources for quality initiatives and new capital to pursue growth strategies.

Officials said Capella’s recent merger with Brentwood, Tenn.-based RegionalCare Hospital Partners will not impact the Saline Memorial partnership, according to the report.
