Billings Clinic launches heart program with Montana hospital: 4 takeaways

Billings (Mont.) Clinic and Missoula, Mont.-based Community Medical Center have entered into a partnership to launch a cardiac health program at the hospital’s main campus.

Here are four things to know about the partnership.

1. Under the deal, CMC’s heart center will be rebranded the Billings Clinic Heart and Vascular at Community Medical Center, and will provide full-time interventional and clinical cardiology services through inpatient and outpatient units.

2. Officials said the partnership will hopefully lead to the hiring of new providers and the construction of a new facility at CMC.

3. Billings Clinic and CMC have reportedly been in talks regarding the partnership for more than a year, and will continue to hold meetings to discuss ongoing expansion initiatives.

4. The Billings Clinic Heart and Vascular at Community Medical Center will be led by Robert Minor, MD, and Douglas Waldo, MD.
