Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Baptist Health and HSC Medical Center have been in discussions regarding an operating and management agreement throughout the past year. The 72-bed, county-owned HSC Medical Center had been looking for a partner since early 2012 due to cuts in government reimbursements.
The hospital will be renamed Baptist Health Medical Center-Hot Spring County, becoming Baptist Health’s eighth hospital.
