Bankruptcy court approves Adventist’s hospital purchase

The court overseeing Montebello, Calif.-based Beverly Community Hospital’s bankruptcy case has approved an asset purchase agreement with Adventist Health White Memorial.

Both organizations are engaged in transition planning to provide smooth continuity of care for patients, Los Angeles-based Adventist said in an Aug. 18 news release. 

The former site of Beverly Hospital and its adjacent medical office building will operate as Adventist Health White Memorial’s second campus. The transaction is expected to close in the next 20 to 50 days.
