Mr. Donahue comes to the 481 not-for-profit Piedmont from 541-bed Saint Thomas Hospital, a tertiary and specialty referral facility in Nashville.
Prior to joining Saint Thomas Hospital, Mr. Donahue was CEO for two Sentara Healthcare hospitals.
An interim CEO for Saint Thomas Hospital has not yet been named, according to the report.
