Aspen Valley Hospital Joins Mayo's Care Network

Aspen (Colo.) Valley Hospital has been selected to join the Mayo Clinic Care Network, the first Colorado provider to be included.

The Mayo Clinic Care Network, developed by Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic, is a collaboration of hospitals and health systems that work to improve the quality and delivery of healthcare in their regions. Through the network, participating providers have access to Mayo Clinic's knowledge and expertise.

The deal does not involve a change in ownership. Aspen Valley, a 25-bed critical access hospital, will continue to be independently owned and operated.

Last week, St. Francis Hospital, a 376-bed community hospital based in Columbus, Ga., agreed to become a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network.
