Allina Health, District One Hospital Sign LOI to Affiliate

Minneapolis-based Allina Health and District One Hospital in Faribault, Minn., have signed a letter of intent to discuss a partnership.

If approved, District One Hospital, which is licensed for 99 beds, would become part of Allina Health. Financial details were not disclosed. District One Hospital would be Allina Health’s 13th hospital.

District One Hospital issued a news release, which stated: “The primary objective of the partnership is to ensure ongoing local access to a hospital, primary and specialty healthcare services and to provide exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes. With today’s challenging and changing healthcare environment, working together will ensure local services long into the future.”

Allina Health and District One Hospital officials will undergo due diligence before a definitive agreement is signed. The hospital did not issue a timeframe for when a deal would be finalized.
