RUMC took control of operations of the Oak Park facility in 1993, keeping in place Catholic care policies restricting some reproductive services and drugs. The two organizations signed a letter of intent to transfer ownership of Rush Oak Park to RUMC on March 28 for $21 million.
The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board and the Chicago Archdiocese must approve the acquisition.
