50 healthcare deals hit the $1B mark so far in 2015

Fifty healthcare deals valued at more than $1 billion each have been recorded so far in 2015, according to a report from Irving Levin Associates.

This year has already outpaced 2014, as there were only 46 healthcare transactions valued at $1 billion or more last year.

The 50 deals that have been announced this year have a combined value of $333.3 billion. The 46 transactions announced last year had a combined value of $325.2 billion.

There have already been more billion-dollar-plus healthcare deals announced this year than at any time since 1995, when Levin Associates began keeping records
