Elsevier, a data and analytics company based in Amsterdam, acquired a Pittsburgh-based UPMC subsidiary that develops decision support guidelines for oncologists.
2. LifeBridge Health signs letter of intent to integrate Maryland hospital
The boards of LifeBridge Health, a four-hospital system in Baltimore, and Elkton, Md.-based Union Hospital of Cecil County signed a letter of intent to merge Jan. 18.
3. Erlanger looks to acquire first hospital outside of Tennessee
Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Erlanger Health System will take over Murphy (N.C.) Medical Center, pending approval by both organizations’ boards.
