HCA to Acquire Miami’s Mercy Hospital

Hospital chain HCA has signed an agreement to acquire 473-bed Mercy Hospital in Miami, according to a Miami Herald news release.

Mercy is the only Catholic acute-care hospital in Miami-Dade County. HCA plans to continue to operate the facility as an Catholic institution.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed. It is expected to close this year.
