Under the deal, both health plans will maintain their leadership teams, operations, locations and staff. Priority Health serves more than a million members in Michigan and employs more than 1,200 people, while Total Health Care has a network of more than 2,560 healthcare centers, 2,000-plus primary care physicians and 4,500 specialists.
The transaction, which is expected to close by early 2020, is subject to regulatory and state approvals, according to the report.
