Health Management Associates to Acquire Florida’s Wuesthoff Health for $145M

Rockledge, Fla.-based non-profit Wuesthoff Health System has agreed to sell its assets to Naples, Fla.-based Health Management Associates for $145 million, according to a report by Florida Today.

The sale of the non-profit system to a for profit hospital operator must be approved by state and federal regulators.

The sale is expected to be finalized by Oct. 1. HMA has said it will retain Wuesthoff’s employees, according to the report.
