4. The hospital has 367 total employees.  

5. In 2011, the hospital performed 800 inpatient surgeries, 3,200 outpatient surgeries and 200 births and had 14,800 outpatient visits, 4,000 non-admitted emergency department visits and 800 admitted emergency department visits.  

6. In 2011, the hospital recorded $102.6 million in gross charges and $5.3 million in net income, according to the American Hospital Directory.

7. The hospital received a Patient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades in 2013.  

8. Yampa Valley Medical Center was founded in 1946. The hospital has undergone a series of expansions as the surrounding community continues to grow, the most recent in 2010.  

9. The hospital's first outpatient center, built in the early 1970s, featured a sign over the entrance that read "Ski Fractures Only."  

10. The hospital's "Extraordinary People, Personalized Care" initiative honors staff members who go above and beyond in providing care.
