Yuma Regional physicians to staff La Paz Regional Hospital ED

La Paz Regional Hospital, a 25-bed Parker, Ariz.-based community hospital, is bolstering its ranks of hospitalist and emergency department physicians through an affiliation with another community hospital, 406-bed Yuma (Ariz.) Regional Medical Center.

When the affiliation agreement kicks in this August, Yuma Regional will provide La Paz with supportive hospitalist and ED care. The physicians will be employees of Southwest Emergency Physicians, the major care provider for Yuma Regional's ED.

"As the community hospital for Parker and the surrounding areas, La Paz Regional Hospital always aims to deliver the very best care possible to our neighbors. I am very proud to say that our care providers meet that high standard every day," hospital CEO Vickie Clark said in a statement. "This new collaboration with Yuma Regional Medical Center gives us several critical resources that will help La Paz Regional Hospital elevate the depth of our care to an even greater level. The real winners in this collaboration are the patients who depend on La Paz Regional Hospital."
