WSU medical school allows first class of students to apply

After scoring preliminary accreditation from the Liaison Committee on Medical Education on Oct. 19, Washington State University’s Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine in Spokane will officially begin accepting applications, according to KREM.com.

The medical school’s inaugural class will begin classes in August 2017. Students will attend classes across WSU’s four campuses: Spokane (Wash.), North Puget Sound at Everett (Wash.), Richland, Wash.-based Tri-Cities and Vancouver (Wash.).

The Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine plans to heavily recruit first-generation students, as well as students from rural or medically underserved areas.
