Wesley Medical Center ER physicians become EmCare employees

Staffing vendor EmCare has reached an agreement with a group of emergency department physicians at Wichita, Kan.-based Wesley Medical Center in which the physicians will become EmCare employees, according to a Wichita Business Journal report.

The ED physician group is the Emergency Services Professional Association, an 18-physicain practice with 23 physician assistants, nurse practitioners and other staff members.

EmCare has been the for-profit hospital’s staffing vendor for more than a year, and Wesley Medical Center has moved to have all of its physicians under EmCare to streamline processes, according to the report.
