The schools are in initial conversations regarding the program, in which students would alternate between the two schools similar to existing doctorate programs in physical therapy and nursing.
The partnership is a more cost-effective way to launch a new program, UWF officials told the Pensacola News Journal. UWF is still investigating community demand for non-physician healthcare providers, according to the report.
