The new Baptist Health Medical Center is expected to open in spring 2016 as a full service, 100-bed community hospital co-managed by the health system and local physicians.
“The idea and spirit of this hospital was conceived by 30 physicians here in the community who came to us interested in doing something different that hadn’t been done in Arkansas, where you have a health system and a group of doctors partnering to co-manage a hospital,” Baptist Health President & CEO Troy Wells told the Log Cabin Democrat.
The hospital is expected to begin hiring in fall 2015 to fill about 400 to 450 new positions.
