The Morsani College of Medicine and the USF Heart Institute Building are expected to be completed in 2019. The total cost of the project is approximately $153 million, which will come from state and private funding, according to WFLA.com.
“This is really a transitional moment for us,” said Charles Lockwood, MD, dean of the Morsani College of Medicine. “It’s the start of what I think is going to be a period of extraordinary growth for the medical school and obviously for the heart institute, a chance to be a world class heart institute and research center.”
