University of Buffalo medical school adds 29 faculty across 6 departments

Twenty-nine faculty members joined the University of Buffalo (N.Y.) Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in recent months.

The individuals will fill positions across six departments within the medical school, including:

  • 21 faculty members in the emergency medicine department
  • Thee faculty members in medicine
  • One faculty member in neurology
  • One faculty member in pediatrics
  • One faculty member in psychiatry
  • Two faculty members in surgery

The medical school will also transfer all classes to a new building on the university’s Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus in downtown Buffalo, N.Y., in January 2018. Officials expect to finish construction on the building this fall.
