These 3 siblings are attending the same medical school at the same time

Not only do Asad, Sara and Rana Torabi all want to pursue careers as physicians, but they are each currently attending Indiana University School of Medicine's Northwest campus in Gary, according to the Daily Herald.

The trio grew up near Valparaiso, Ind., in a home of two parents employed in medicine. Their father works as a medical physicist and the director of imaging at Portage, Ind.-based NorthShore Health Centers and their mother is a radiation safety officer in NorthShore's clinics.

Currently, Asad, who's leaning toward a focus in cardiology, is in his fourth year of medical school and has spent the past few months on rotations in Indianapolis. His sisters Sara and Rana are in their third and second years, respectively.

Sara claims she and her siblings are supportive of each other and not competitive. "We all have been in each other's shoes before," she said. "So if we hear someone has a big test coming up in a week, we keep the volume down, let them study and help each other out."

Upon graduation, all three siblings plan to stay in the northwest Indiana area to practice. "We're homegrown Hoosiers," Rana said. "Our community has invested in us, so we have to invest in our community."
