TeamHealth acquires ER group

Knoxville, Tenn.-based physician staffing firm TeamHealth Holdings announced Thursday it has acquired Ruby Crest Emergency Medicine, the group that staffs the emergency department of Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital in Elko, which has an annual volume of 24,000 cases.

TeamHealth is one of the largest physician staffing firms in the country, with 13,000 affiliated providers working in about 990 hospitals, clinics and physician groups across the country.
