Police identified the man who shot and killed himself and his two young children Saturday as Christopher Dawson, MD, a former physician at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Waxahachie (Texas), according to the Star-Telegram.

Police responded to a call around 7 a.m. Saturday and discovered the bodies of Dr. Dawson, 36, and his two children at their home in Texas.

Dr. Dawson's neighbor told the Star-Telegram he and his girlfriend heard an animal-like yelp around 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
