Police investigate robbery at University Hospitals

The University Hospitals police department is investigating an armed robbery that took place in a public restroom at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center June 12, hospital spokesperson George Stamatis said in a statement shared with Becker’s.

The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. The suspect, who reportedly had a gun, “fled the hospital immediately.” 

“Our police department is working with area law enforcement to apprehend the suspect,” Mr. Stamatis said. “Fortunately, no one was injured. The safety of our patients, visitors, and employees is a top priority for us at University Hospitals.”
