Owensboro Health Medical Group renamed One Health

Owensboro (Ky.) Health has announced its medical group will now be named One Health, effective April 20.

The renaming of the 140-physician group is meant to reflect the group's goals and massive growth, Owensboro Health President and CEO Philip Patterson said in a statement. The group's physician base has nearly doubled since 2012.

"We chose One Health because we wanted our name to reflect our aim to make health care simple to access, receive and understand," Mr. Patterson said in a statement. "We want to offer one point of contact, tied to one health system, ranked No. 1 for quality of care in our region."
