Outer Banks Hospital forms medical group

Nags Head, N.C.-based Outer Banks Hospital and nine physician practices are forming the Outer Banks Medical Group, according to The Outer Banks Voice.

The physician practices are from Vidant Medical Group, the multi-specialty physician group affiliated with Greenville, N.C.-based Vidant Health, according to the report. The new group intends to better connect the Vidant physicians in the Outer Banks area, according to the report.

"The new signage on each practice represents the change. However, patients can rest assured that they will still see the same familiar faces and experience the same quality of care they have come to expect from these providers," said Outer Banks Medical Group Administrator Lynne Miles, according to the report.

The following North Carolina-based practices are part of Outer Banks Medical Group:

  • Outer Banks Family Medicine in Avon, Manteo and Southern Shores
  • Outer Banks Women's Care in Nags Head
  • Outer Banks Oncology in Nags Head
  • Outer Banks General Surgery in Nags Head
  • Outer Banks Internal Medicine in Nags Head
  • Outer Banks Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Kill Devil Hills
  • Outer Banks Ear Nose & Throat in Kitty Hawk
