The deal was completed Oct. 31, and the Warrenton-based practice’s six physicians and 35-member staff became Fauquier Health employees on Nov. 1. The hospital maintained the positions and pay for all 35 staff members, which include nurses, lab technicians, aides and administrative workers, according to the report. The affiliation with the hospital boosted the employee benefits package, Piedmont’s lead physician, William Simpson, MD, told Fauquier Now.

Fauquier Health is affiliated with Nashville, Tenn.-based LifePoint Hospitals. The hospital now employs 28 physicians and operates three primary care practices.
