Michigan State University, hospital form new medical school campus

East Lansing-based Michigan State University has partnered with Novi, Mich.-based Providence-Providence Park Hospital to create a new medical school campus in southeast Michigan, according to The Detroit News.

MSU is already home to two medical schools. The collaboration with Providence-Providence Park Hospital will create the seventh community campus for MSU College of Human Medicine.

The first group of third- and fourth-year medical students will begin at the school in July 2016.
