Here are four things to know about the deal.
1. The deal was completed based on DMG’s initial intent in April to acquire the group, pending completion of due diligence and final contract negotiations.
2. The addition of Meridian Medical Associates will expand DMG’s existing service-area footprint to patients in Joliet and the surrounding communities in Will County, Ill., officials said.
3. Under the terms of the acquisition agreement, DMG will add 41 of Meridian Medical’s primary care physicians and specialists in 12 specialty departments.
4. The deal with Meridian Medical brings DMG’s physician total to more than 475 doctors in 70 dedicated practice locations.
