MemorialCare in California Adds 400 Physicians, Acquires Management Company

Fountain Valley, Calif.-based MemorialCare Health System has announced its affiliation with a 400-physician group and its acquisition of a physician management company.

The system’s affiliation with Greater Newport Physicians will add 140 primary care physicians and more than 250 specialists to MemorialCare Medical Foundation. The physicians will operate as the independent practice association division of the foundation.

The system’s acquisition of Nautilus Healthcare Management Group will include more than 400 employees to manage billing, accounting, electronic medical record implementation and other physician practice management and support services.
