MEDNAX acquires private anesthesiology practice in Michigan

Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based national medical group MEDNAX acquired Warren, Mich.-based MEMAC Associates and the related entity Synergy Anesthesia.

The deal adds 10 anesthesiologists and 18 anesthetists to MEDNAX’s American Anesthesiology division, which includes about 950 physicians and 1,400 anesthetists.

The acquisition was a cash transaction and will be immediately accretive, according to the report.
