MEDNAX acquires 15-physician practice in North Carolina

Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based medical group MEDNAX has added New Bern, N.C.-based Mosaic Anesthesia & Perioperative Services to its American Anesthesiology division.

The 15-physician practice works as part of a care team that extends across New Bern’s CarolinaEast Medical Center, its affiliated ASC, Morehead City, N.C.-based Carteret General Hospital, Whiteville, N.C.-based Columbus Regional Healthcare System and Kinston, N.C.-based Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

MEDNAX will support the practice with business leadership, administrative services and a network of more than 975 anesthesiologists and 1,425 anesthetists across the country.

The deal will be immediately accretive, according to a statement.
