Massachusetts Hospital Association Names First Physician Relations Head

The Massachusetts Hospital Association has chosen Robin Richman, MD, to fill the newly created position of vice president of physician relations.

Dr. Robin RichmanIn the new role, Dr. Richman will oversee MHA’s Physician/Hospital Integration Collaborative and the Physician Leadership Council, help MHA with clinical matters and facilitate collaboration efforts between hospitals and physicians as part of state and national healthcare reform, according to the news release.

“[Dr. Richman will] be able to provide the active support of more coordinated and efficient care across the healthcare continuum that is so critical within the new healthcare model,” Lynn Nicholas, president and CEO of MHA, said in the release.

Dr. Richman earned her MD from Temple University in Philadelphia. She previously served as CMO and executive vice president of medical affairs for Reliant Medical Group in Worcester, Mass.
