The clinic will be led by a physician who will be supported by a physician assistant or nurse practitioner, according to the report. Staff will also include a registered nurse, medical assistants, a lab technician and patient liaisons, according to the report.
Gundersen serves 19 counties in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa with almost 30 primary care clinics. The Holmen clinic will be a boon to patients who previously had to travel to La Crosse, Onalaska, Wis., and Galesville, Wis., according to the report.
