Dr. Boiselle will take the helm of the Boca Raton-based medical school in January 2017.

Previously, Dr. Boiselle worked at Boston-based Harvard Medical School as a radiology professor and associate dean for academic and clinical affairs, a position he had maintained since 2012.

“I’ve been given the opportunity to lead the College of Medicine during a pivotal time of growth,” he said, according to the report. “The College of Medicine has had a terrific launch. I want to build on its initial success.”

FAU’s medical school welcomed its first class in 2011.
