DMG acquired Midwest Digestive Disease Specialists in Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., and Naperville, Ill., as well as Optima Medical Associates in Joliet. The physicians began accepting patients on Feb. 1.

“We’re very excited about the addition of these practices, both of which were built by very accomplished physicians,” Dennis Fine, COO of DuPage Medical Group, said in a statement. “Further expanding our specialty services and DMG’s Joliet footprint is part of our steadfast commitment to our patients.”

DMG is the largest independent, multi-specialty physician group in the Chicago area.
