Throughout October, Mr. Ohmart will donate $1 to the Johnson County Cancer Foundation for each photo of him wearing pink posted to the hospital’s Facebook page. Residents in the area are encouraged to snap a picture and post it anytime they see him in public.
“[Mr. Ohmart] is dedicated to educating people on the importance of early detection through regular screenings, as this is the key to a successful treatment,” the press release reads. “Mammogram screenings can detect breast cancer when it is small and localized before it becomes a lump and causes symptoms.”
