Memphis, Tenn.-based Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women has added Fawn Lewis, MD, as the hospital system's first general pediatric surgeon, according to an article in the Memphis Daily News.
The new pediatric services unit will cover 37,000 square feet including an 8,500 square-foot emergency room. Construction is expected to be completed in January, according to the article. The expanded pediatric services are expected to create about 20 new professional positions.
