Avita Health, Ashland University sign corporate agreement to fund scholarship

Avita Health System, a three-hospital system in Galion, Ohio, and Ashland (Ohio) University initiated a corporate agreement to create a scholarship fund for Avita employees and their families, according to the Ashland Times-Gazette.

Under the agreement, Avita employees, their spouses or their children pursuing an undergraduate degree at Ashland University will be eligible to apply for a $1,000 annual scholarship. Employees and their families may also be eligible for a 10 percent discount on tuition for enrolling in any undergraduate course or graduate course as a part-time student.

The financial terms of the transaction, if any, were not disclosed.
