4 things to know about physician who allegedly injured Sen. Rand Paul
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., MD, broke five ribs and sustained other injuries Friday after he was allegedly attacked by his neighbor, Rene Boucher, DO.
Here are four things to know about Dr. Boucher:
1. Dr. Paul and Dr. Boucher are next-door neighbors in a gated community in Bowling Green, Ky., according to Reuters.
2. Dr. Boucher is an anesthesiologist and pain specialist, according to the Bowling Green Daily News.
3. Dr. Boucher invented a product called the Therm-a-Vest, which applies heat to areas of the back where a person is feeling pain. He patented the Therm-a-Vest in 2003 and sells it through the QVC shopping channel, according to the Bowling Green Daily News.
4. A Facebook page allegedly belonging to Dr. Boucher contained multiple posts critical of President Donald Trump, though none about Dr. Paul, according to Reuters.
