2 New York physician groups to merge

Latham, N.Y.-based Community Care Physicians and Albany, N.Y.-based CapitalCare Medical Group declared their intent to merge, according to The Daily Gazette.

The combined entity will offer urgent care and primary care services in 30 specialties to residents in more than 50 locations across the region.

Residents’ access to care will not be affected during the merger process, according to the article. Officials said they hope to close the deal in the third quarter of 2017.
