Thirty-three “core employees” have been affected by the restructuring. This includes seven positions filled by interim employees, the elimination of two unfilled positions and the layoff of 24 individuals.

Another 45 employees in adult acute-care services were affected, with all but three placed in other positions.

The hospital’s recent adaptation of an electronic medical record was a large factor in the layoffs, according to the report.
