William A. Bornstein, MD, PhD. Chief Quality Officer and CMO of Emory Healthcare (Atlanta). Dr. Bornstein has worked at Emory Healthcare for nearly 20 years and has held numerous executive leadership positions during his tenure with the seven-hospital system. He was appointed CMO and chief quality officer for the system in September 2003. Throughout his career, Dr. Bornstein has championed the use of IT to improve healthcare quality and delivery, and assisted in the development of Emory Healthcare’s clinical data repository, which has become one of the largest data banks in the world. He is also a board-certified internist and endocrinologist.
