Mayo Clinic in Minnesota Receives $750K for Expansion Project

The Mayo Clinic in Austin, Minn., has received a $750,000 donation from The Hormel Foundation for its first major expansion, according to an Austin Daily Herald news report.

The expansion project includes a three-story addition that will add 86,500 square feet to the hospital. Construction is expected to begin in July and take 20-24 months to complete. Total costs for the expansion are estimated to be $28 million.
