WakeMed in North Carolina Posts 2010 Year-End Earnings

WakeMed Health & Hospitals, based in Raleigh, N.C., has reported 2010 year-end earnings, which include revenue of $916 million, representing a 4.7 percent profit margin, according to a Triangle Business Journal report.

WakeMed’s Rehabilitation Hospital alone clocked net income of $5.3 million and revenue of $34 million, indicating a 15.7 percent profit margin, according to the report. The health system was recently granted approval to add 14 rehabilitation beds.
