Viewpoint: CEOs should prioritize these 7 social issues

Almost half of Americans said they believe CEOs can influence policy with their activism, while 77 percent said CEOs should speak out if they believe their company’s values are being threatened, according to a recent report from public relations firm Weber Shandwick.

Fast Company Digital assistant editor Pavithra Mohan spoke with a number of CEOs from various industries to compile a list of the top social issues executives will be laser-focused on in 2019.

The top seven issues CEOs will be paying attention to in 2019, according to Fast Company:

  2. Sustainability
  3. Gun violence
  4. Equal access to healthcare
  5. Social mobility
  6. Workplace diversity
  7. Sexual misconduct
