The job cuts affected Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago, West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, Westlake Hospital in Melrose Park and MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn. According to the report, Vanguard announced the job cuts as part of a larger effort to cut costs. The company posted a $19.2 million loss in the first quarter of its fiscal year.
